Dr. Robert W. Walker lives with his wife of twenty-six years, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He holds a B.A. and an M.Ed. in Sociology, and he is currently working towards his Master of Divinity. His Doctoral thesis focused on the impact of belief on individual actions. As a teacher, pastor, and educational leader, Dr. Walker desires to share what he has learned directly from the Spirit, so that others can experience a fuller and deeper relationship with their Creator. He’s an avid reader of books on theology, spirituality, quantum mechanics, and claims that the shores of Lake Huron provide an excellent locale in which to write a book!

A Personal Journey
Dr. Walker, after thirty-six years as a K-12 school principal, returned to live in Sarnia, Ontario Canada. This was the first community that started his teaching career. It is also close to his home community, where he grew up on the family farm. Dr. Walker has always been an adventurer and a creator, who loves and values all the people he has met and worked with over his illustrious career. However, to say he was just a teacher for his entire life would be a misrepresentation of his life. Even as a principal he still found time to own and operate his own farm near Sunderland, Ontario raising cash crops. During that period of time he also completed a BA in sociology at The University of Western Ontario and a M.Ed. from the University of Toronto, also in sociology. After five principalships and twenty-four years he took a break from education to take on the role of CEO of a start-up energy company, working with investors from both Canada and the United States. Immediately following that experience he became the owner operator of a franchised food business in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada, which he operated with his wife, Irene. Following that experience they moved to Edmonton, Alberta Canada where he embarked on a PhD. at the University of Alberta and completed it in 1999. His thesis, in education, studied how teachers adapt to change when they are confronted with new situations. His thesis is titled. How Belief Systems of Classroom Teachers Affect Mandated Change. After completing the degree Dr. Walker taught first and second year sociology at the university level. More recently he has also taught social psychology at
the University of Alberta. He followed that with a return to being a school principal of three K-12 schools in Alberta for twelve years. Dr. Walker may be semi-retired at the present time but the key word is semi. Along with his writing of this book he also travels to different churches as a visiting pastor.
To write a book on God, spirituality and Christianity is not something that one can do by taking to a keyboard. Dr. Walker was raised in a protestant church, as a child, but has been to services in almost every Christian denomination. A family crisis, in 1982 was the spiritual awakening that he describes in the book. It was as if God was waiting for him to say, “Take my life and do with it as you wish.” It is difficult to describe what God did in his life to show him that He is alive and well. When we think of downloading information into a computer, the same thing happened to Dr. Walker. Information and knowledge previously unknown to him suddenly over several weeks and months became known to him. His reading of books and materials on Christianity and spirituality became almost an obsession. However, awakening spiritually does not pave the way for a rosy life. Within a year tragedy struck him. His cousin and best friend, with whom he grew up, was killed in a farm accident. That same year his father and Dr. Walker`s uncle passed away. As well, that same year, a second uncle also died. That was just the beginning of his trials, as a new Christian. The following year his wife collapsed at work and was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. She struggled through two operations and radiation but in the end, all his prayers didn`t result in a miracle and she passed away after twenty-two months. You would think that the tragedy would be over but the following year his sister-in-law, who helped him was diagnosed with bone cancer and she passed away that same year. You would think that much tragedy in a person’s life would result
in anger against God and life but it had the opposite effect on him. Instead he grew stronger spiritually and God led him through one of the most amazing experiences, when he created a Christian board game called Mount Zion. Its purpose was to show Christians in everyday situations how they should respond to life. Dr. Walker was guided by God to create this three- dimensional board game with Blessing Cards showing the Christian response to life moving the player up the mountain and the Trial Cards moving him/her down the mountain. The aim was to reach the pinnacle of the mountain and gain the Crown of Life. Dr. Walker often refers to this board game as the snakes and ladders of Christian living. What was amazing in this whole process was how God worked with Dr. Walker in the middle and after the passing of his beautiful wife. Since retiring from education, Dr. Walker has spent three years researching and reading books and information on the new science, Quantum Mechanics. This book, God is Alive and Well is the culmination of years of life experiences and coming to an understanding that God is constantly with us in the Quantum Light, that is referred to throughout the Bible. In this book, Dr. Walker brings God and science together and as you read the book, you too will discover that God is the Great Physicist and is always with us. You will discover we are all part of God`s Light and even though it looks like everyone is alone on this planet, we are all connected to each other and also we are connected to the earth. This is a book of empowerment for every person no matter what his or her belief system is. We are all one.
